BARBARY SHEEP
WHERE
The Audads live in the southeast of Spain, called Levante, in the provinces of Murcia and Alicante.
SEASON
The Barbary Sheep season goes from October to February, and their heat time is by the October, but it will depend every year of the weather.
FREE OR FENCE
There is the possibility to hunt them in fenced area but we go 90% of the times to free range areas.
SLEEP IN
We sleep in hotels in small towns located close to the hunting area or in lodges in the hunting concession.
HOW HIGH
The areas where the Barbary Sheep lives are close to the sea, but yet we will find some hills and mountains there, with an altitud around 2,400 feet.
ABOUT THEM
The Barbary Sheep or Audad, -Ammotragus lervia-, it is one of the only two species of sheep we have in Europe with the Mouflon.
