MOUFLON SHEEP
WHERE
We can find Mouflon Sheep in most of our territory, mainly in the center and south of the country, or in the northeast of Spain, in the Pyrenees Mountains.
SEASON
The season is one of the longest, going from September to May. Their heat time is by the end of October and November
FREE OR FENCE
There is the possibility to hunt them in free range or fenced area while hunting in the center and south, but the Pyrenees will always be free range.
SLEEP IN
We sleep in hotels or lodges, in small towns located close to the hunting area or in it.
HOW HIGH
The average altitud in the Pyrenees is around 4,900 / 11,000 feet, but in the rest of Spain we will hunt between 1,500 to 3,000 feet.
ABOUT THEM
The Iberian Mouflon Sheep, -Ovis orientalis musimon-, it is one of the only two species of sheep we have in Europe.
